The Skoda Yeti DEG petrol is a Very comfortable high visibility vehicle relatively economical circa 45 MPG. It provides reliable transport Report as offensive. 5.
Skoda Octavia - reliability of 1.2 TSI engine - dieseldogg. Buster, I admit; (i) I was a very keen putative Yeti buyer, (but bought an Octavia instead) (ii) was comparing to a 200,000 mile 1998 diesel. (iii) Only on a short urban test run. (iv) And I would have still bought the 110HP 2wd diesel Yeti.
No comparison. It can also take a lot more abuse than the Yeti. Reliability: Toyota. Will be as reliable at 200,000 kms as it is brand new. The Yeti's long-term reliability will be below average, and parts will be expensive too (if the Laura, on which it is based, is anything to go by). Features: Yeti has all the bells & whistles, and then some
I'm now on my 6th Skoda - 3 Fabia Tdi estates, 2 Yeti 140 Tdi 4x4 and now an Octavia 150 4x4 estate and can honestly say, that of all the cars I have owned over far too many years from Ford Populars to VW Golfs to Subaru Imprezas, in terms of quality , value for money , reliability and overall cost of ownership they have proved to be excellent.
The warranty is the normal used approved "for total peace of mind". I have to say Land Rover (my previous cars) were brilliant with warranty claims, probably because they had such a bad reputation for reliability. We shall see if Skoda match up. Shame really because the Yeti is a great car-far better than anything else for similar money.
Wouldn't bother with a 2 year old Skoda TBH. The Skoda is a more sophisticated Vehicle. The Astra's are Europes worst car ever, the Lancer is ok but the packaging traditional and not as practical as the Yeti and the Cerato boring to drive. So, Yeti, lots of people that actually have them love them. Just find Specialists to service it. beedy
