Even if I want to quite the game I get an warning that there is still a autosave in progress. When I play more and die (in game) my death screen doesn't let me respawn it keeps
But i fixed it by: Start UPlay > Click the gear in right top corner (Settings) > Settings > General > Enable Cloud Save Synchronization for supported games (Turn it off, uncheck the box next to it). If the problem still persists, and you're comfortable searching the registry, run Regedit, enter Far Cry 2 and then Enter, working your way through everything it shows (F3), and you might just find something that will give you an idea that the problem may lie in your registry.

I managed to fix this. it was because I had the game installed on a different drive then ubisoft connect. I moved ubisoft connect to the same drive and repaired the shortcuts and the stuttering went away. Restarting the game loads me back at a checkpoint during my previous mission; points to autosave not working. Sigh. go to the save file in your doc folder and see if you can revert it to a previous version. it worked for me when Watch dogs corrupted. I think this has something to do with reaching max level Karma.
